Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork baby back ribs (about 4-5 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Remove membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil, meat side up. Cover tightly with foil.
  6. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender and meat pulls away from the bones.
  7. Meanwhile, mix barbecue sauce, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove ribs from oven and brush generously with barbecue sauce.
  9. Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill ribs for 3-4 minutes per side, until lightly charred.
  10. Brush with more sauce, slice, and serve immediately.
